    Dr Melissa Green is a Research Fellow in the School of Psychiatry, University of New South Wales, and the Black Dog Institute, Prince of Wales Hospital. She is internationally recognized for clinical research on social cognition and affective neuroscience in psychotic and mood disorders. Dr Green received her PhD from the University of Sydney in 2002, then spent four years at the Macquarie Centre for Cognitive Science, investigating social cognition and the remediation of emotion processing deficits in psychosis. She moved to UNSW in 2006, where her current work focuses on the genetic basis and functional impact of social cognitive deficits in psychotic and mood disorders. Her work has direct implications for determining optimal and personalized treatments for psychotic and mood disorders.
